USA Wine Ratings

USA Wine Ratings is an international wine competition held in San Francisco. A competition that looks to recognize wine brands that look to identify with and target a specific wine drinker. It is a platform for wine brands to showcase their wines in front of some of the leading wine industry experts in the US. The goal of USA Wine Ratings is simple: to single out and shine the spotlight on those wine brands that consumers really want to buy and have a clear market value for trade buyers. The competition will be judged on three key areas: Quality, Packaging and Value. Medals will be awarded to those wines that meet very specific judging criteria, with a goal of identifying wines that should become additions to restaurant wine lists and retailer shelves. Highest marks will be awarded to those wines that are high on quality, have attractive packaging and also provide great value for money. The judges present at the competition will be experts from the US wine industry and thus would be well-versed with the quality, value and packaging aspect. KEY DATES Super Early Bird Registration Ends: October 31, 2019 International Registration Ends: April 30, 2020 Domestic Registration Ends: June 10,.

Sommeliers Choice Awards

South San Francisco Conference Center 255 S Airport Blvd, San Francisco, CA, United States

Judging Date: August 12, 2020 Sommeliers Choice Awards is an international wine competition within the United States that will be judged entirely by sommeliers only. The competition will focus exclusively on the needs of on-premise establishments such as bars, restaurants, lounges and clubs, making this competition fundamentally different from any other wine competition within the U.S. The goal of the Sommeliers Choice Awards is simple: to provide experienced on-premise buyers and sommeliers a valuable benchmark for understanding which wines would make a compelling addition to a wine list. Medals will be awarded to those wines that meet very specific judging criteria, with a goal of identifying wines that should become additions to restaurant wine lists. Wines will be judged according to criteria such as how well they pair with food items in addition to their overall versatility. Highest marks will be awarded to wines that provide value for money at their respective price points. Judges know the trade prices of each wine as they are judging each flight. Hence the winning wines would be the one that would score the highest for its quality, typicity, value, and packaging. Key Dates: International Registration Ends: February 28, 2020 Domestic Registration Ends: April 10,.

China Wine Competition 2020

The China Wine Competition looks to recognize, reward and help promote wine brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific wine drinker. For any wine brand to earn its place on a retailer’s shelf or a restaurant’s wine list—and then, vitally, stay there—they need to be marketable and consumer-driven, not just produced in the general hope it can find enough people willing to sell and buy it. That is why the China Wine Competition is different. It will single out and shine the spotlight on those wine brands that consumers really want to buy and have a clear market value for trade buyers. The competition will judge wines in three key areas: 1. Quality 2. Value 3. Appearance To be an award winner you will need to have a top quality wine that offers both trade and consumer great value for their money, and you will need to look good and truly stand out on the shelf and back bar. One way is to enter your wine in the International Women’s Wine Competition, judged entirely by wine industry professional women.  Its mission?  To uniquely identify specific wines that women will enjoy and ultimately purchase. Why produce a women’s wine competition?  Event founder and president, Debra Del Fiorentino says, “This competition’s niche appeal certainly gives women their own ‘voice’, when selecting a wine.  The judges recognize not only the best wines submitted, but also the wines they feel would appeal most to women wine buyers and consumers. And even though a special nod goes to the best woman winemaker, it’s important to know that this competition is open to all winemakers, male and female alike.” Register here: winecompetitions.com/womens Early Bird Deadline  - April 21st, 2021!  Entry Deadline and Wine Shipments -  May 1st, 2021 Judging: May 11 - 12, 2021
