Santo Tequila rocked by million dollar heist
Earlier this month, two trucks carrying over 24,000 bottles of Santo Tequila, owned by Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar, were stolen in Laredo, Texas. The tequila, worth around $1 million, included different varieties like blanco, reposado, and a rare extra añejo that took over three years to age. Using faked updates from the trucker along with GPS emulators, this theft caused a major setback for the company, accounting for roughly 12% of their annual sales.
Guy Fieri shared his concern for the small distillery in Mexico that produces their tequila, as the loss impacts not just their business but also the livelihoods of many workers. Santo Tequila’s president, Dan Butkus, explained that the theft has disrupted their entire operation. While they’re working to replace the stolen stock, the rare extra añejo can’t be quickly reproduced due to its long aging process.
The police in Laredo, along with specialized cargo theft teams and federal investigators, are looking into the incident. To help recover the tequila, Fieri has offered a $10,000 reward for information, especially about the rare extra añejo. He compared the theft to something out of a movie, highlighting how unusual and well-planned the crime was.

Skewball is giving thanks and getting basted this Thanksgiving
Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey is teaming up with rapper Yung Gravy for a fun Thanksgiving campaign called “Give Thanks and Get Basted.” They’re encouraging everyone to add a twist to their celebrations by taking shots from their own custom turkey basters.
To make this happen, they’ve released a limited-edition Skrewball Baster Set. It includes seven 50-ml Skrewball shot basters, a wooden holder, and a gravy boat to fill with their peanut butter whiskey. The basters are designed to measure the perfect shot and feature a bulb shaped like Skrewball’s sheep logo. The gravy boat adds a fun twist to the traditional serving dish.
Yung Gravy is all in, saying, “Skrewball and Gravy together just made sense from the jump. We’re both sweet, smooth and know how to start the party.” He’s even starred in a video showing how to use the set, basting himself and a turkey with Skrewball, and inviting everyone to “Give Thanks and Get Basted” responsibly this Thanksgiving.
