Coffee Break! Let’s remember to be human.
We here at FIP view education as one of the keystones of our success. When Chris Morgan offered to create a series of presentations for our Coffee Break Education Moment, we immediately said YES!
After spending more than a decade assisting art collectors in a gallery setting over in California, Chris landed back in Jacksonville and (thankfully!) here at FIP. His goal on Friday was to get the team interested in learning how he consistently wow’s his clients with some solid relationship principles and how we can all do the same.
Friday marked the first of his multipart series in doing just that. After hearing some great advice like ways to communicate clearly and with empathy, I asked the team what their favorite takeaways were.
It’s important to remember both parties are human, and that can go a long way to help build relationships.
Our Lead Designer, Tyler, found the importance placed on empathy interesting. “I liked when he talked about showing empathy for a client problem,” he said. “It’s important to remember both parties are human, and that can go a long way to help build relationships.”
Ashley related to the principle of clear communication, “I liked his emphasis on the idea that it should be a conversation,” she said. “It’s a good reminder to keep it digestible and give [the clients] a chance to speak too!”
“I thought his insights were super helpful overall, and I appreciated how he walked us through [his] process. Really nifty stuff!” said Katie.
We all enjoyed Chris’ first presentation. I think I can speak for all of us when I say we are looking forward to the next.
